PER AP NEWS:: The St. Louis Cardinals, who have been coming from behind throughout this season, did it again Thursday. The Cardinals came back from two runs down twice to beat the Texas Rangers 10-9 in St. Louis and force Game 7 Friday.
David Freese hit the game-winning home run in the bottom of the 11th inning.
The game swung wildly over the final innings. In the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cardinals rallied to tie the score at 7 after Freese's RBI double sailed over Nelson Cruz's head. Josh Hamilton put the Rangers ahead with a two-run home run in the top of the 10th, but St. Louis tied it in the bottom of the inning on a Ryan Theriot fielder's choice and an RBI single from Lance Berkman. Twice, the Cardinals were down to their final strike before rallying back.
