Maybe its just my childhood nostalgia, maybe a fondness for all things special effects/robots/space/Air Force roots...camaro's... but these movies really work for me.Sure, they are not the deepest, most intellectual movies out there, but who cares? I'm old enough to know by now, some things you just have to suspend disbelief, sit back and enjoy the ride, and have FUN. Life is too short to criticize movies of this nature. Those pundits need to find a girlfriend or graduate writing school or whatever they do to loft themselves up, and just go watch a movie that is only meant, for mindless, childhood, robotic fun...
